The Parkersburg Utility Board was created in 1996 following a vote of the citizens of Parkersburg, to place the daily operational control of these utilities with an autonomous board. Since the Board's creation and with the continued support of the community and Parkersburg's City Council, the Board has made great strides in maintaining and improving both the water and sanitary sewer systems of the City of Parkersburg. The Board is committed to ensuring that the water and sanitary sewer systems will meet the current and future needs of the community, while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. The Board and its staff will continue to make needed improvements to increase the level of service provided to our customers and to promote economic development and help the community to grow and prosper.
The Parkersburg Utility Board has contracted with an emergency communication service to notify customers in the event of serious issues concerning their water and sewer services, such as boil water notices and service interruptions. Water and sewer customers can register their contact information in the confidential CodeRed data base by selecting the link or logo provided. Your contact information is protected and will not be distributed for any other purposes.
