This was the second phase of the wellfield electrical system upgrade. This project replaced the old 1940s vintage motors using 2400 volt power with modern variable frequency drive motors using 480 volt power for increased efficiency. Programming and software allow the motors to be adjusted to better meet the system demand and lower electrical costs.
